TikTok and full-screen mode

TikTok is testing a horizontal full-screen mode with select users worldwide, which allows them to switch from vertical scrolling to a horizontal view. The feature may be expanded to automatically switch to horizontal mode when a phone is rotated. TikTok is competing with YouTube, particularly for younger users, and is adapting features to attract longer-form content creators.(Link)

Focusrite acquires Sonnox

The Focusrite Group has acquired audio software company Sonnox. Sonnox will continue to be led by its founder, Rob Densham, and its current product range will remain available. The acquisition is the Focusrite Group's first in the audio software market. (Link)

Arturia launches new free MS-20 plugin

Arturia has released a free plugin called Filter MS-20, based on the filter section of the Korg MS-20 synth. It includes high- and low-pass filters, a distortion section, and modern enhancements. The plugin also has a main interface, macro-style controls, and an Advanced panel with access to the envelope follower, step sequencer, and function generator. (Link)
