A new study suggests that other animals may share the ability to perceive melody and rhythm. The study analysed and recorded gibbons in Thailand and Italy and found that gibbons can synchronize to a beat through singing, not just dancing. A new report shows that 1-3% of France's on-demand music streams, or roughly 1-3 billion plays, were fake in 2021. This is according to data from Spotify, Qobuz and Deezer, while Amazon Music, Apple Music and YouTube were unwilling or unable to share the information sought. (Link)
